Buck Dogs prides itself on offering accommodating, trustworthy, and no-nonsense training options. We can help your dog get up to speed on basic manners, as well as address more complex behavioral challenges. Our training is delivered in a format to suit your lifestyle and needs.
Private in-home training
Basic manners training is perfect for bouncy adolescent dogs, new rescues, and dogs who simply need to brush up on a few skills.
Have more serious behavior concerns? We can also help with behavior issues such as fearful and shy dogs, and leash reactivity. Learn more about Behavior Consults
Sessions are held in the home, and in local areas, depending on training needs. We’ll tailor your program to your dog’s age and previous training experience – from foundational to dazzling advanced-level training.
All our programs include basic skills and training such as sit, down, off, leave it, and stay. You’ll learn how to use markers to communicate with your dog, as well as loose-leash walking skills and polite greeting behaviors. Plus a trick or two!
Our more advanced programs equip you with the skills to help your dog enjoy and maintain focus while out in the world, even around distractions. We can also tackle behavior concerns such as barking, lunging while on leash, and fear-based behaviors like refusing to walk on leash or having difficulty with new people. Our aim is bringing out the best in your dog’s confidence and behavior and reducing stress for everyone involved.

Coaching
Designed for owners who want one-on-one time with their dog and a trainer. Choose a package and we’ll create a training plan tailored to your specific goals / issues.
Day Training
Let me train your dog for you. Day training is the ideal solution for people who want their dog trained but don’t have the time to attend regular training classes. It’s a great alternative to a “board and train” program where are dogs are left at a facility to learn. Instead, your dog will get professional training while staying in the comfort of their own home.
We do the work, you enjoy the results!
Online Training
Online training can be accessed from anywhere in the world, and is ideal for a range of training needs, particularly dogs who are fearful or struggling with aggression towards visitors. It’s the same great learning experience, with the added bonus of revisiting weekly sessions, receiving constructive feedback, and training when it suits you most.

🐾 We begin with a 60 to 90 minute in-home training & behavior consultation where we’ll work together, assessing your dog’s issues and your goals.

We’ll get you started on the right foot with some basics skills & problem solving, and we’ll introduce skills like leash walking and recall.

If you choose to continue with training, personalized sessions will be billed at the rate of $160 per single one-hour session. Packages of six or more sessions are discounted. (All packages must be used within five months of purchase.)
